Submission

I put that cartoon with this post because it reminded me of a topic that I’d wanted to write about for a while. Except it’s not really porn-related, which means this post might turn into a rant. We’ll see what happens as I type.

I used to be involved in a community of cheaters and adulterers, by which I mean there were a bunch of people who had blogs and wrote about their experiences. Most of the blogs were written by women, most of the commenters were men. I think many of the male commenters were just hoping the women would sleep with them; the thinking seems to have been, “She’s a cheater, so she’s probably willing to sleep with anybody – even me!”

Part of that community included people who didn’t actually cheat, but liked the thought of it. I’m sure many of the male commenters were in this category; they didn’t intend to physically cheat, but in the dark hours of the night they liked to beat off to the idea of it. That way they would kind of get the best of both worlds: fantasies or “sex” (sort of) with various women, but when it came right down to it they could say that no, they’d never actually cheated, so their consciences were clear. As soon as they were done washing the cum off their fingers they could go back to feeling superior to the moral deviants who commit adultery. (Until the next night when they’d pull up their browser and get hard reading about the exploits of those “deviants” again.)

It’s easy to look down on those dumbasses. Hell, I’m doing it right now: They were dumbasses. That class of self-righteous voyeur probably still exists today, in which case they are still dumbasses. They’re trying to have it both ways: they want to have sex with bunches of women (other than their wives), and they’re trying to get as much of the experience as possible while stopping short of the point where they’d have to admit they’re adulterers. Technically, they’re not. Morally they are, they’re just cowards.

But there was another class of people I saw doing exactly the same thing: the “submissives.” There were a lot of women I saw in those days who claimed to be submissive, but I never got the impression they were really submissive, they were just… lazy. They weren’t looking to be equals in the bedroom, they weren’t looking to be creative or inventive lovers, they just wanted to be told what to do. And, just like those dumbass men, on some level they were also hoping to get guilt-free adulterous sex. They weren’t really cheating, they were just following orders.

I have nothing against submissive women. I don’t look down on them, and I even enjoy fucking them. (I enjoy it even more when I can fuck a woman who’s my equal in the bedroom, who’s as much a part of the act as I am, but a submissive girl can be fun too, for a change of pace.) But I roll my eyes at the fake submissives. If I don’t get to be lazy, you don’t either!
