It was during my “newsgroups over high-speed internet” phase that I got married and moved in with my wife, changing the nature of the situation dramatically. The amount of porn I was consuming dramatically decreased, not from of lack of desire but from lack of opportunity.
I now had to be secretive about it because I didn’t (and don’t) want to get caught. You may be thinking to yourself, “maybe your wife would be fine with it, maybe even be into it, times are changing,” to which I’d respond that no, she wouldn’t, you don’t know her. She’s militant about this kind of thing, and if she found out I was still consuming so much (or any) porn it might not be grounds for divorce, but it would definitely be grounds for marriage counselling. So it remains a secret.
Sometimes I get in a quick bit of pornography when she’s out with friends. Or maybe she’s out of town for a while, which is great because I have the run of the house. (I can watch porn in any room!!!) Mostly I get out of bed at night after she’s gone to sleep and sneak off to the office computer for a while – which is one reason that even to this day I try to get as many pictures as I can when I’m downloading porn as opposed to videos. (I suppose I could just watch videos with the sound off, but I feel you’re missing something that way.) (There’s also a weird quirk of mine that I don’t enjoy animated GIF files for some reason, even though one would assume they’d be perfect for me – little soundless videos.)
This lack of opportunity makes me desire porn the way some others desire sex. I look forward to having some “alone time” in a way that single guys (or cheating men) can easily relate to when it comes to getting laid. In fact, I do cheat on my wife (meaning real sex, not just porn and masturbation), but often times when I’m going to have some time to myself it’s not getting laid that I look forward to, it’s time for porn.
I know this is a more personal question and you don't have to answer if you don't want to, but I am curious to ask a man who is so open about things.
