Why is Porn so Fucking Racist?

Let me say, right up front, that I do NOT expect porn to lead the way in bringing society forward. On ANY issue. In fact, when it comes to gendered issues, if anything it brings society back a few steps – which works out nicely for me, since I’m a dude; I get to continue running the world, and women are learning to become voluntary sex slaves. But that aside, there is one area where porn lags behind the rest of society more than any other: race.

When it comes to race in porn, there is only one approach: the blatant stereotype. I have no problem whatsoever with black men fucking white women, but when it happens in porn it only ever happens because the men are black and because the women are white. It’s never a case of two people who happen to be of different races, it’s always a case of, “I’ve always wanted a black cock inside me!” or “Now that I’ve had black cock, white cocks won’t do!”

In the most sympathetic way of looking at this type of porn, giving the porn producers the benefit of all kinds of doubts, it’s playing up the trite stereotype that black men have big cocks. A more realistic way of looking at this type of porn, however, is that there is always the subtext that these slutty girls are even more slutty because they’re degrading themselves by fucking black men. (Again, for the record: I have no problem with sluts. Sluts are alright, in my book.) This aspect of racist porn is very blatant in a lot of cuckold porn I see; the woman is not just cheating on her husband, making him a degraded cuck, she’s doing it with black men – gasp! – which is supposed to make it even more degrading for him. Just getting cheated on isn’t enough; in porn, the ultimate debasement is when she cheats on you with black guys. Seriously, please tell me there is nobody reading this who doesn’t see that as racist.

I’m focusing more on black guys with white women, though there is also a lot of racist porn involving white guys with black women. In a sense it’s no different than white-on-white porn (if I can use that term), in the sense that the black women are viewed as sluts but in white-on-white porn the white girls are also viewed as sluts; in that way porn has achieved equality. But in porn involving black girls they are considered slutty because they’re black, whereas in porn involving white girls they’re just considered slutty because they’re sluts. How come when it comes to black girls their sluttiness is associated with their race, but with white girls they just... are?

Using Colour as an Artistic Device

Using women of different colours for your photos because of the contrast is not better – it’s not less racist. Please stop it, porn producers.

The Asian Thing

Of course, so far I’ve been mostly talking about black and white, but you can’t talk about race in porn without bringing in the Asian question. There is a HUGE genre of porn in which Asian women are fetishized! Again, all of the stereotypes you can think of come into play, especially the concept of Asian girls being submissive. (Not in a Sub/dom kind of way, just in a, “I want to please you in any way I can!” kind of way.)

So let me speak directly to the men out there: Yes, it is racist for you to say that you like Asian chicks. It is very, very racist. I fully realize that Asian porn is a popular category of porn, and you can get away with fetishizing Asians in porn, but porn is not the arbiter of what is societally acceptable. And don’t think you make it better by specializing, you racist piece of shit; if you say that you like Japanese girls, or Chinese girls, or Korean girls, it’s just as racist as saying that you like Asian chicks.

And don’t try to tell us that it has anything to do with the culture, either. You’re not fooling anyone, racist; you just want to fuck Sailor Moon.

The South-Asian/Indian Thing

If you have a “brown fetish,” please re-read the entire previous section, replacing the word “Asian” with the word “Indian.” And good lord, if you ever use the word “paki” – especially if applied to any South-Asian woman, and not specifically to ones from Pakistan, though it’s a racist term to use even of Pakistani women – please give yourself an extra slap for your ultra-racist view of the world.

Andrew answered: I would guess because it’s a relatively privately consumed type of media, and geared pretty much exclusively towards men, and because it largely serves to dehumanize people, so racism probably feels pretty natural under those circumstances.
